UPMC St. Margaret needed a digital signage and emergency messaging solution that was scalable on demand and easily managed from a central location. The system needed not only to display static content, but also to handle room scheduling and integrated data feeds.
Tri-State Video Services provided UPMC St. Margaret a Digital Signage and messaging system based on two versions of the MagicBox Aavelin line of Digital Signage Products. The Aavelin SDRT outputs a video signal of scheduled content that is RF modulated over the existing CATV network for the Patient Information channels. THis content is easily accessed throughout the facility on any television connected to the RF distribution system. Campus-wide digital signage and messaging is delivered via a network of Aavelin SignMates, which provide video feeds to each of the designated signage displays throughout the facility. Through the implementation of the EZStream Database Integration system, System Administrators are easily able to synchronize content from their existing Dean Evans Event Management System and provide real-time updates regarding conference and LGI room scheduling to a number of strategically placed displays.
By working closely with the teams at MagicBox and UPMC, Tri-Â-State Video’s engineering team provided an end-Â-to-Â-end solution for digital signage and messaging throughout the St. Margaret facility in a manner that is scalable, easily managed, and cost effective.
