Transat A.T., one of the world’s largest tour operators, selected Media Vision USA to provide wireless portable conference microphone systems for two boardrooms in separate locations: one at their Headquarters, the second one at Montreal Airport. Transat executives needed a sound reinforcement solution to help with speech intelligibility during meetings and to allow audio and video conferencing. The solution had to be wireless but RF technology couldn’t be used, as it is prone to interferences. IR technology was thus the favored solution and the TAIDEN-HCS-5300 system provided by Media Vision is the only digital infrared wireless conferencing system on the market. Custom-designed carrying cases were provided so the equipment is easily transportable for off-site meetings. Within the wide choice of transceivers, two ceiling-mounted were selected for the meeting room and a tripod-type transceiver, an ingenious portable solution.
