Atlas Sound set to show two new sound masking products at InfoComm

LAS VEGAS. NV, June 18, 2008 -Two new sound masking products from Atlas Sound will make their industry debut at this year’s InfoComm in Las Vegas. Designed expressly for security masking applications with requirements exceeding the capabilities of traditional components, the M2000-SM Surface Mount Masking Transducer will be unveiled along with the M2000-LP Low Profile Masking Speaker in booth # C4049.

The M2000-SM is built for window, door, wall, and duct applications where the need for sound masking security is paramount. The subtle design of the device’s two-part transducer/transformer provides discrete placement and mounting options. Incorporating NXT™ Exciter Technology in a 1-inch, coil-mounted plate, the transducer offers the simplicity of “peel-and-stick” installation, while the transformer can be remote-mounted and adjusted with variable tap settings at ¼, ½, 1, 2, and 4 watts.

A low-profile sound masking loudspeaker measuring 7 ½” wide by 2 5/8” high and 7” deep, the M2000-LP weighs only 3 pounds and is designed for use in raised access flooring and small plenum ceilings. Delivering 90 dB at one watt / one meter through two 2” x 4” paper cone speakers, the loudspeaker comes with a built-in 70V transformer outfitted with variable tap settings ranging from ¼ to 4 watts that can be adjusted via a front-mounted switch. Perfect for applications where construction constraints once made true sound masking security and speech privacy complicated, the M2000-LP, like the M2000-SM, is value-engineered to deliver professional performance at an affordable price.
