Cypress, CA, January 27, 2015 – FOR-A America announces that it will exhibit its video switcher, signal processing, and encoder/decoder technology at this week’s South Carolina Broadcasters Association (SCBA) Winter Conference. Showcasing the latest in broadcast technology, the SCBA conference takes place January 29-30 at South Carolina’s Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center. 

A highlight of FOR-A’s booth will be its HVS-110 HD/SD portable video switcher. Featuring a compact, integrated design, the HVS-110 comes standard with 12 HD/SD-SDI inputs and eight outputs, and enables nine outputs, including one HDMI output, to be freely assigned. Since it was first introduced in 2013, along with the HVS-100 portable video switcher, the HVS-110 has proven to be a popular fit for a wide range of video production applications, including live events, sports, news studios, OB vans, corporate production, as well as in government, house of worship and educational settings.

Also on display will be FOR-A’s FA-505 multi-channel signal processor - a 5-input, 5-output (2-way distribution) signal processor that features up/down/cross conversion capability on each input. FOR-A’s versatile FA-505 supports 3G-SDI and HD/SD-SDI input/output as a standard feature, and includes all the functionality of both a frame synchronizer and color corrector. 

FOR-A will also showcase Fujitsu IP-920 high-performance video transmission equipment at the event. Capable of operating at less than 99ms back-to-back latency, Fujitsu’s IP-920 encoder/decoder technology features real-time transmission and robust error correction. Widely used by broadcasters for HD/SD content delivery, Fujitsu’s technology uses advanced MPEG-4 AVC technology encoding, known as H.264, to provide best-in-class video fidelity.
