WALNUT, Calif. – July 10, 2012 – ViewSonic Corp., a leading global provider of computing, consumer electronics and communications solutions, demonstrates its continued leadership and projection innovation with the launch of three new short throw solutions under its PJD6 Series – including the PJD6353s, PJD6383s and PJD6683ws.
The PJD6 Series makes it easy to share presentations and images in smaller environments, thanks to its high quality short throw optical lens design and contrast ratio of up to 15,000:1. The PJD6383s, PJD6683ws are XGA and WXGA native resolution models and both offer 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness suitable for medium and large classroom and boardroom projection. The PJD6353s supports an XGA resolution and 2500 ANSI lumens offering flexibility for small spaces. All three models are equipped with Dynamic PC and Dynamic Movie modes, so that the projector can automatically detect and adjust lamp brightness according to image content. This results in an enhanced overall dynamic contrast ratio improvement of up to 50% for vivid details, while also saving up to 30%* on energy consumption. Paired with built-in 10W stereo speakers and rich connectivity options including HDMI, the PJD6 Series delivers multimedia presentations in clear surround sound for maximum audience engagement.
Designed with remote teaching and learning in mind, the new PJD6 Series features AMX® and Crestron® network management support. With the embedded Crestron® e-Control™, users can remotely monitor and control the projector. With Crestron® RoomView Express™ software and RJ45 connectivity, users can remotely manage up to 250 networked projectors along with real-time monitoring and control status email alerts regarding power, lamp life, and unit presence. For added maintenance simplification, users can automate device schedule powering on/off, as well as the broadcasting of urgent closed caption messages.
“Our new PJD6 Series projectors are designed to enable educators and SMBs to deliver great presentations in an eco-friendly manner that saves money,” said Roger Chien, product manager for ViewSonic. “Paired with their short throw capabilities, network monitoring and management capabilities and energy efficient feature such as the DynamicEco™ remote button for managing image dimming, along with a large number of connectivity options, these120Hz/3D-Ready projectors cater to a diverse range of classroom needs.”
The PJD6353s, PJD6383s and PJD6683ws will be available in North America in late July 2012 for respective ESPs of $599, $699 and $749. All three projectors come standard with a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, in addition to a 1-year lamp warranty and Express Exchange® Service*.
