The first compact video power conditioner was created over 25 years ago. Garth Powell, AudioQuest’s Senior Director of Engineering, was its co-creator. The market required something small that could both filter incoming power and protect the home cinema enthusiast’s considerable investment in their Runco 42” plasma television screen or metal halide (UHP) lamp projector. Those products were heavy, had relatively short lifespans, and were far from discreet. Yet, they were state-of-the-art in their day, and a basic compact power conditioner was a must.

A quarter of a century later, that compact power conditioner has been imitated by many, but never surpassed or properly updated — until now.  

Today’s installations often require a power tap for a TV streaming device (such as an Apple TV) and an isolated high-current outlet for a premium soundbar — necessary to ensure the highest possible performance in a package that is easily hidden from sight.
